Personal Biography
Zhongchu Ni is a Research Scientist at the Shenzhen International Quantum Academy, specializing in the foundations of quantum information science. His research focuses on advancing quantum computing platforms based on superconducting circuits, with particular emphasis on quantum control and error correction. His work includes high-fidelity quantum manipulation of bosonic modes, the design and implementation of hardware-efficient quantum error correction codes tailored to bosonic systems, and developing strategies to integrate and scale these components into larger quantum information processing architectures. Zhongchu Ni’s doctoral work has resulted in several publications in leading international journals, including Nature, Nature Physics, and Physical Review Letters. Of these, he is first or co-first author on 3 papers. He joined the Academy in July 2025 after completing his Ph.D., and now focuses on experimental research to advance the capabilities of superconducting quantum hardware.
