henzhen International Quantum Academy Demonstrates Quantum Error Detection in Silicon Quantum Processor
A research team led by Prof. Yu He and Prof. Dapeng Yu at the Shenzhen International Quantum Academy has achieved a milestone in quantum error detection in silicon. For the first time, the team implemented error detection using stabilizers—a method compatible with fault-tolerant quantum computing—on a donor-based silicon quantum processor. The work also revealed the unique strongly biased noise characteristics inherent to the silicon spin qubit system.
Researcher Junqiu Liu from Shenzhen International Quantum Academy wins the 2025 Fresnel Prize of the European Physical Society
On June 17, 2025, the European Physical Society announced that it would award Dr. Junqiu Liu the 2025 European Physical Society Fresnel Prize in recognition of his "pioneering contributions to ultralow-loss silicon nitride integrated photonics and its applications in nonlinear optics, quantum information, and frequency metrology, bridging fundamental and applied physics".

Recently, a research work entitled “Control of spin currents by magnon interference in a canted antiferromagnet” was selected by Nature Physics as a cover article for the May’s issue and was also highlighted in a News & Views feature.

Recently, the 2024 Chip Conference and the Award Ceremony for the Top 10 Advances in China's Chip Science hosted by "Chip" came to an end. The research achievement "Ultra-low Loss, High Fidelity Quantum Interconnection Between Distributed Quantum Computing Chips" by the Superconducting Quantum Computing Team of Shenzhen Quantum Academy was selected into the "Chip 2023 Top 10 Advances in China's Chip Science".
IQASZ’s scientific research achievement selected among China’s top 10 scientific advances in 2023
On February 29, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) released China’s top 10 scientific advances in 2023 during a ceremony in Beijing. Among the selections on the list of the country’s top 10 science advances was the breakthrough research “Bosonic-encoded quantum error correction extends the logical qubit lifetime” conducted by the Shenzhen International Quantum Academy(IQASZ).
IQASZ’s research results selected as one of top ten progresses in international physics in 2022
On December 20, 2022, the American Physical Society’s (APS) Physics website reviewed the year’s major advances in international physics. They released ten of the most representative important works of 2022 as the “Highlights of the Year”. Researcher Zhengda Li’s work entitled “Fundamental position of complex numbers in quantum mechanics,” was included in the list alongside other significant research achievements.
