Personal Biography

I completed my undergraduate studies in the Elite Physics Experimental Class at Xi’an Jiaotong University, and in 2013 was recommended for admission to the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences (IIIS) at Tsinghua University, where I began working with Prof. Luyan Sun on experimental research in superconducting quantum information. During my Ph.D., I led the development of an instruction-set-based dedicated measurement and feedback control system for superconducting circuits, and carried out quantum error-correction and related experiments. As first author (including co-first author), I published four high-impact research papers, including one in Nature Physics, one in Science Advances, and two in Science Bulletin. As a student, I received multiple scholarships, and my Ph.D. dissertation was selected as an “Outstanding Doctoral Thesis of Tsinghua University.” In recognition of my research achievements during the doctoral period, I was also named to the 2019 Forbes “30 Under 30” list.

After receiving my Ph.D., I joined Southern University of Science and Technology as an independent PI, continuing experimental research on superconducting quantum information. I was promoted to Associate Researcher in 2023, and in 2025 moved to the Shenzhen branch of Hefei National Laboratory—the Shenzhen International Quantum Research Institute—to further pursue experimental research in superconducting quantum information. In recent years, I have published one paper in Nature Communications as corresponding author and one paper in Science Bulletin as co-first author.

My research focuses on experimental studies of open quantum systems based on superconducting quantum platforms, including quantum error correction and quantum simulation. In particular, I have extensive experience in superconducting quantum information experiments based on measurement-and-feedback control techniques. I have published nearly 30 research papers in related areas, with more than 1,600 citations on Google Scholar and an h-index of 18. Several of my research results have been adopted and cited by well-known universities and institutes in China and abroad; among them, my paper on quantum error correction with binomial encoding has been recognized as an ESI Highly Cited Paper.
