Shenzhen International Quantum Academy held the 2025 Fire Safety Publicity Month Themed Training and the 4th Quarter Safety Training in Conference Room 518 on November 12. The event was hosted by the Safety Office of Shenzhen International Quantum Academy, with the participation of safety officers from various laboratories.

At the beginning of the meeting, Research Fellow Liu Song, the Vice President of Scientific Research, delivered a speech. He emphasized that the person in charge of each laboratory is the first person responsible for laboratory safety work, and safety officers are the front-line force of safety management. They must strictly implement the academy's various safety rules and regulations, further strengthen the sense of ownership, continuously improve safety literacy, and effectively implement work safety responsibilities. At the same time, he pointed out that each laboratory should establish and improve the safety training system, strictly implement the laboratory access system, focus on strengthening the standardized management of hazardous chemicals and experimental consumables, attach great importance to information security, electrical safety and fire safety, and build a solid safety barrier for the high-quality development of the academy.
Wang Huiyao, a safety engineer from the Safety Office, made a systematic report on the academy's 2025 safety work. The report comprehensively covered key areas such as laboratory safety inspections and hidden danger rectification, hazardous chemicals and gas cylinder account management, standardized collection and disposal of waste, special equipment safety supervision, and the implementation of emergency drills and training. Through sorting out and analyzing annual data and typical cases, it systematically summarized the main achievements and existing weak links of the annual safety management work, and on this basis, made arrangements for the key safety tasks of the next year.
In addition, a third-party professional organization was specially invited to carry out training focusing on laboratory safety laws and regulations, daily management, fire prevention and control, safe operation specifications for hazardous chemicals, emergency evacuation and initial disposal skills. During the training, the causes of accidents were analyzed based on real cases, and the details of safety protection and key points of emergency response were explained in depth. Just in time for the 2025 National Fire Safety Publicity Month, the Safety Office also organized a series of fire publicity and drill activities to continuously improve the fire safety quality and skills of faculty and students, and build a strong line of defense for work safety.
At the end of the meeting, outstanding safety officers for the 2024-2025 academic year were solemnly commended. The award-winning safety officers have fulfilled their duties and taken on responsibilities in daily management work, and have given full play to their vanguard and exemplary role in key links such as hidden danger investigation, system implementation and safety publicity. In his award speech, Vice President Liu Song expressed sincere gratitude for their hard work in safety management, and emphasized that all safety officers should continue to uphold high standards and strict requirements, devote themselves to scientific research safety work with a sense of responsibility of "being on tenterhooks all the time", adhere to seeking truth and pragmatism and working in a down-to-earth manner, build a safety barrier for the high-quality development of the academy with a solid work style, and create a safer, more stable, harmonious and orderly good environment.

Through this safety meeting, the risk identification and emergency disposal capabilities of safety officers have been further improved, the foundation of safety work of "everyone understands safety and everyone can respond to emergencies" has been consolidated, and the consensus on safety management has been built, laying a solid foundation for the continuous improvement of the academy's scientific research safety governance system.
