The 2026 Winter School on Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Technology Successfully Opens
January 19, 2026

On January 16, 2026, the 2026 Winter School on Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Technology, co-hosted by the Shenzhen International Quantum Academy (IQASZ), and Shenzhen Hetao College, and supported by DeepMind Technology, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Shenzhen Futian Sub-branch, and Suzhou Euroland System Integration Co., Ltd., officially opened in Classroom B311 of Shenzhen Hetao College.

This winter school lasts for 12 days and adopts a "three-track parallel" teaching model of AI4Q, Hybrid, and QI-Algo. With "Vibe Coding" and "Project-Oriented" as the core, it explores the integration path of artificial intelligence and quantum technology from multiple dimensions and at a deep level. It has attracted nearly 100 young scholars and students from institutions such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, The University of Hong Kong, University of Science and Technology of China, Harbin Institute of Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, City University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Beihang University, Sun Yat-sen University, Southern University of Science and Technology, and Shenzhen University to participate.

Professor Ouyang Wanli, Vice President of the Hetao College of Shenzhen, and Researcher Liu Song, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Shenzhen International Quantum Academy attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Researcher Deng Xiuhao from the Shenzhen International Quantum Academy (IQASZ), who also serves as the head teacher of the Winter School, introduced the schedule of activities to the participants.

During the breakout session, ten supervisors – including Researcher Hideki Okawa from the Institute of High Energy Physics, CAS, professors from Tianjin University, Tsinghua University and other universities, as well as researchers from the Shenzhen International Quantum Academy – offered 20 research topics. Covering cutting-edge interdisciplinary directions of AI and quantum technology, the topics were presented via posters, turning the classroom into an academic "creative salon". The on-site atmosphere was vibrant with in-depth teacher-student discussions.
